# The Skill

The skill tells your agent when to look facts up and how to share them, in the Agent Skills format.

## Copy It Into Your Tool

It's a folder, and it goes in your tool's skills folder. This example is for Codex.

cp -R conscius-plugin/skill/conscius ~/.codex/skills/conscius
```

## What to Know

It doesn't connect the server, so [add that too](/docs/other-tools).

It has no screen: only [the plugin](/docs/plugin) checks a proposal on your machine.

Claude Code doesn't need it, because the server's own instructions tell the agent when to look up. Codex's plugin installer adds it for you.
